You can get different listings of services depending on the key words you use when conducting an online search.
For example, we found that the term "brain injuries" produced a more compehensive list of resources than using the term "brain injury".
If you get zero results or too few results:
- Make sure your search terms are spelled correctly.
- Try entering fewer search terms.
- Try less-specific search terms. For example, search for "children" rather than "girls" and "boys".
- Choose the ANY WORDS search option to retrieve profiles that inlude any of your search terms.
- Use an asterisk (*) anywhere in a word to represent a number of letters. This is a useful way to retrieve variants of a word. For example, "wom*" wil find both "woman" and "women".
If you get too many results:
- Be as specific as you can. Try using more words to refine your search. For example, search for "youth employment" rather than just "employment".
- Use the ALL WORDS search option to narrow your search to find results that include ALL of your search options.
- Use the EXACT MATCH search option to narrow your search to find results in which all your search terms need to appear together as a phrase.
The mission of the The Toronto ABI Network is to provide leadership in furthering equitable, accessible, responsive, cost-effective and quality publicly-funded services and support for persons living with the effects of an acquired brain injury in the Greater Toronto Area.
